John's Story
A year after graduating from UC, Davis in 1979 (after attending UCSC for the first two years of college), I joined the Navy and was a supply officer from 1981 through 1984. Eventually became a real estate appraiser (which I still am). I was married from 1999 until early 2007 (divorce finalized then, but no children are involved, thank goodness; just two dogs, which my ex-wife has). I currently live in San Mateo near the Hillsdale Shopping Center with Linda (my "significant other") and Rusty, my 9-year old cavalier spaniel dog. I love good music and am constantly playing it (mostly instrumental music) while I do appraisal work on my home office computer.. or play keyboard music on my wonderful Roland Digital piano - anything from rock/pop music (Genesis, Steely Dan & Fleetwood Mac are my favorites) to classical (not as much now) and George Winston (e.g., from Autumn & December albums).
