John's Story
After Viscount, I went to UBC and then to Cornell for my masters and Ph. D. I taught in the Management schools at UCLA, Queen's, Columbia and the University of Colorado. Left academia and spent five years with UNICEF in New York as the head of special events worldwide. Left UNICEF and started a promotion agency in LA that did a lot of music and entertainment marketing including sponsorship and promotions for tours of Crosby, Stills and Nash, Bonnie Raitt, Eric Clapton, Genesis and over 100 others. arner Bros and others as well as luxury marketing for St. Regis, Lotus Cars and most of the consumer electronics brands. Directed the transition of the Robb Report Magazine to a digital brand leading its sale to Dan Gilbert of Quicken Loans and the Cleveland Cavaliers. After Robb Report, I moved on to RMS Media Group, publishers of Northshore (Boston), Ocean Home and Luxury Pools + Outdoor Living to build their digital, video and events revenues. Currently working with a company acquiring Med Spas first in New England and then nationwide. Enjoying our house on the beach in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico and spending summers at home in Broomfield, CO.
