Life
After leaving ELHS, attended Lansing Community College, Michigan State, BA from Mander College (Bedford England), MBA from Oxford University (England), National College of Business (SD). Joined and retired from United States Air Force w/+ 25 yrs. Have done a lot of traveling around, Europe, Asia, South and Central America, US (Coast to Coast), plus 3 Tours in Vietnam, Grenada,Panama, Desert Shield/Storm. Married over 37 years now widowed. worked in State Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice System. Retired from the Criminal Justice system in 2004. Currently just relaxing working Part Time and enjoying the time off.
Military
I enjoyed the military or I wouldn't have given it 25 years, 9 months 14 days. Being seen as a warrior is often mistaken by non-military persons, it had its up's and downs. I'm just thankful that I can march in a parade or stand by the side and salute the flag, there are many who can't! As for The Military Bio, just touches ...Expand for more
the surface, because it does not allow for tours within tours. Example the Air Force uses members on a Temporary Duty basis (TDY). This means that you could be based in one area and be required to assist in another area. In addition to the assignments listed I was also involved in Granada, and Desert Storm, but was based here.
Currently
Living on a ranch outside of Augusta, Kansas, in Butler county, McConnell AFB in Wichita, Kansas was my last assignment, Retired as the last commander of the Audio Visual Sq. as it was merged into another unit. have no children but do have 7 cats sharing my home, plus many animals outside watching the property. Every year on the 3rd weekend in July I work as security at the Kansas Veterans & Family Reunion held at the El Dorado State Park, in El Dorado, Kansas. In January 09 My wife of 37 years passed on, so now I'm alone except for my animals. I'm the Pastor for Wings of the Dove Ministry so that keeps me busy.
