Hello, I have traveled led a bit since I last saw all of you. After messing up at CSCLB (now LBSU) I messed around, worked, hitch-hiked quite a bit, got drafted three times, got in and out of the US Army. Finally, I wound up at Orange Coast College -- AA, 1971, then UCLA, B.A. '73. I was an Insurance agent, briefly, then an offset printer, then a computer operator, then a programmer/analyst. Got married to a Navy Nurse Corps gal in 1979. We have two: Joel born '86, a Law Grad (J.D.) from DePaul 2011; Meghan born '89, grad in 2011 from Loyola University of Chicago. Me I'm still hanging in there. College - OK here is the list you make sense of it! 1965-66 Long Beach State -- flunked out, uh Academic dismissal 1967 Cerritos JC, what a mistake this is. Saw a few classmates 1968 Orange Coast College -- got drafted first semester. 1969-71 OCC get my AA degree, finally! 1971-73 UCLA -- nice buildings, good library, dull people. B.A. in Anthropology 1974-75 UCLA Extension -- Computer classes- Leonard Kleinrock 1976 LA Valley JC more computer crap 1976-77 West Coast University Masters Comp/SCI stuff didn't finish 1983-4 Univ. Nebr at Omaha one last try at Pre-Med! No brain cells left. Military 3 December 1968 - 10 May 1969 the most wasted days of my existence in this life. I met and married, in 1979,a nice young woman, Deborah J. Lee, from rural Nebraska, who had become a USN Nurse Corps Officer in 1972. Deborah's father was/still is a successful famer/stockman in Perkin's Co., Nebraska. She has 7 siblings, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. They are all married. Our children have 21 First cousins on the Lee side, and two on my side, from my Brother, Robert C. Barker (LMHS '68) who still lives in La MIrada, west of Va...Expand for more
