John's Story
Life
I have been married twice. have 8 kids by present wife,am retired for 3 years. am involved in genealogy try to keep up with 14 grandkids, whith live mostly in phoenix. i have a cow that restricts my moovements greatly am trying to get organized to travel some for my researching my familly.
Workplace
I worked in San MANUEL,az 22 years. It was Magma Copper,changing to BHP an Australian firm. I worked as laborer and maintenance mechanic. I started in the smelter,transfering to the milling and crusher. transferred to the mine where i worked underground on...Expand for more

Military
I was drafted intothe U>S>Army.took basic training at Camp carson.Co.,2nd 8 weeks training in Fort Ord,Ca. Training as a clerk thpist,after which i went to Korea for a year. I returned to Fort Ord,and then Camp roberts, where i ended my Military service, while in Korea i was made a tank mechanic,supply clerk and company clerk (for 2 months) I was stationed in Mun Sani, which is 5 miles from Pan Munjam. I learned to appreciate our country more, seing how people live in Korea, and Japan. Im proud to be an American.
