John's Story
High school was a very busy time with only a limited amount of social time. I fondly remember the concerts and socializing with the Male Chorus members and Mr. Goodman. Division 002 was comfortable and fun. I was really into Biology and loved with the Advanced Placement class with Afton Scroggin. Lunchtime was also fun, eating in the cafeteria and enjoying the burgers and large cookies.
A few highpoints in my life include:
Working three summers at Easter Seals camp in the Wisconsin Dells.
Working as a VISTA Volunteer in Colorado to...Expand for more
develop volunteer programs for the developmentally disabled.
Graduating in social work from University of Illinois-Urbana (B.A.) and University of Wisconsin-Madison (MSW).
Lived in Wisconsin, and Colorado now for over 25 years.
First marriage- two now grown children, second marriage- 7 years now.
Worked for 25+ years in social work in developmental disabilities and healthcare.
Great US and foreign travel experiences- including Canada, Greece, Ecuador, Peru
