John's Story
Life
Graduated from UNC 1969, returned to Chapel Hill in 1972 with an M.Div. degree from Andover Newton Theological School, near Boston. Campus ministry led to crisis intervention led to health education led to health-care public relations, where I've spent most of my career. Married(second)to Nancy Tannenbaum (UNC '70) of Greensboro 25+ years. Three terrific kids: Amie (UNC '97), direct marketing manager for the National Hockey League in NYC, has a 9/30/06 wedding date, ran the '03 NYC Marathon; Lauren (Davidson '02) anticipates receiving her M.D. degree from Wake Forest in 2008; Daniel (b. 1986) is scheduled to graduate fr...Expand for more
om UNC in 2008, looking toward graduate and law school. We live in the woods near Chapel Hill and are actively involved in the public schools and community. Work out regularly; enjoy travel, writing, music, sports, the arts, movies. In recent years, folk-rock has given way to musical theatre. I've appeared as a member of the school-board quartet in a community production of The Music Man and the Rabbi in Fiddler on the Roof.
