John's Story
Life
After high school and my undergraduate training (Youngstown State, 1979), I went to Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and obtained a Ph.D. in population genetics in 1986. I then worked in San Antonio, Texas for nearly 30 years but have recently moved to the brand new medical school at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I am a statistical geneticist (which means I do a lot of math!) and have published more than 500 scientific papers. I spen...Expand for more
d most of my time now traveling the world giving lectures and working on various collaborations. I am still interested in music and collect CDs from all of those little known British rock bands of our era.
