John's Story
This will sound like a resume but what the heck. Spent almost 5 years in the military. Was posted in Nova Scotia, Barrie Ontario, and Calgary Alberta. Also was in Egypt for 6 months.
Left the military in 1980 and joined at the time Canada Customs as an officer. Moved to Ottawa with Customs now named Canada Border Services Agency and ready to retire in 2 years! Yippee!!! Have had a great career and was lucky enough to go travel extensively with work. Carib...Expand for more
bean, Mexico, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and 9 months in Afghanistan just to round things out lol.
Was married to Mary Fitzmorris for 23 years and we had two great kids. Both kids live here in Ottawa and love them to death. Mary and I went our separate ways in 2000 but remain friends and see each occasionally. She is doing well and I am very happy for her.
As for me happy to be on the verge of the next part of life. So much to see and so much to do.
