More about John:"I have been blessed and cursed. Blessed to have a passion for all things fast. Cursed because I don't have enough time for them all. God gave this drive to me. I was born with it. It's not about competition—although that's important--it's mostly about those rare moments in the three sports I love—Surfing, Skiing and Racing Cars. This sounds corny, But the three have those unforgettable moments; dragged out in slo-motion, as action unfolds, and I survive on instinct. Later, when I replay those moments, I'm always amazed as to what happened, and the minute inputs and decisions made and lived with.
