Just before Thanksgiving a crew finally arrived to set up later boards and lines for the piers for the new 4200 sf house that will affect our idyllic temporary home.
About 2 weeks ago they delivered the pilings. 20, 25 & 30 foot pressure treated southern yellow pine.
First boring with a nearly 30-foot auger.
Outside of Provo, as the road cuts thru the mountain there is this copse of windmills, spinning in the breeze. It is much more dramatic w/the gorge walls on either side.

Followed by some 100 year old zinfandel grapes. They don't produce much but they're important to the wine blends and select few wines that my friend Greg makes.

Then there are the neighbors with a 10 ft high by 300 ft solid wall fronting their estate, the owner has one of the largest trucking companies in the nation!
And yes he has a model train within the property, along with acres and acres of walnut trees, and a fabulous antique car collection.
Back at home I found a turtle laying eggs near the pond.
