John's Story
I always wanted to be a policeman when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a ok idea. As it turns out, they were right and wrong.
NASCAR Rules! Go Jr!
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on a 2nd story. My dream home would be on a beach in the Caribean or South Pacific.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 1% of it to my dept, then spend the rest on my family and my friends.
To be truly happy, I would be living on a beach, traveling around the world, having dinner with smart people and enjoying it all with Gina!
My current age is 43. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be happy. I was so completely wrong.
My best friend would tell you I'm wierd, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as funny. I have them all fooled.
I share my home with Gina, which I find an honor.
The one person from ...Expand for more
my past who I'd most like to see again is Courtney, because I want to tell her I'm sorry....
My biggest surprise about life has been how superficial most people all and how easily they can be fooled. No one trusts their instincts and intuitions very much anymore.
I have learned from my kids how much I really don't know. They teach me something everyday.
UPDATE: We were a victim of Ike, the house is trashed, the stuff is gone, 2 cars and a work motorcycle are totalled. We are starting over. Galveston will recover, but hearts are broken all over the place. Insurance is coming thru, FEMA has been helpful (yes, it's true), but it is heartwrenching to see everything you have worked gone in an instant. There is no feeling like having to pick thru your belongings for what really matters.
By the way, the house is getting remodeled now! We will never live in it again, though.
