John's Story
Life
After fourteen years as a Wall Street bond trader, I left the corporate rat race to become a writer. In the ensuing years, I've written ten screenplays, two plays, a non-fiction book and a ton of poetry. I'm also re-writing my first novel and recently received an MFA in fiction. I split my time between an apartment in New York City and a house in the Hudson Valley region of upstate New York. I love the stimulation of the city and the tranquility of the country. I enjoy walking and hiking and exercise, and I'm glad to report that I'm in the best physical shape of my life. I got married on May 24, 2008 in the beautiful Hudson Valley. School
I was totally clueless in Jr. High and High School, probably the worst years of my life. I was a hideously late bloomer, and did my best to look like I had it together even though I had no idea what was going on. But despite all the stupid things I did, I managed to survive and make some great friends.
College
After feeling like a total loser in High School, College was my chance to start with a clean slate, and I feel like I made the most of it. Some of the best years of my life were spent at Lehigh, it was a truly magical time (remember autumn on South Mountain? IFC Cocktails? the Maze at Greek Week?). I was fortunate to meet a ton of wonderful people, excellent professors (yes, including Professor Sinclair), and fantastic administrators. See you at the Lafayette game!!
