John's Story
Hi everyone ! Long time no see :) I had s strange and eventful life, I'll spare you the boring details until we meet face to face hehe. Let's just say I didn't do anything conventional, didn't subscribe to the cultural norms of the day (and still a rebel mind you!). Left Monkland's, had a couple years of good times while doing various jobs - I just wanted to be free of obligations for a while. Then just like so many of us: back to college (electronics degree), good job, good friends, in short, a quite decent life even if there were hardships of all sorts along the way. Mature older guy now, how life has changed me... haven't we all ! Can't say I missed you...Expand for more
all, that would be inauthentic, but I do miss some particular people that were special to me in those years but have not shown up here --- yet ---
I never thought I would get "sucked" into getting on a website such as this one but recently, something inside has compelled me to revisit some parts of my past life, in search for existential answers...
3 starts to Google Earth that enabled me to take a virtual tour of old grounds, and especially to a certain McGill professor (I forget who, sorry) that made an incredible website devoted to our old school community, Monklands. The 1973 yearbook sure was a lot of fun to look at afain, so many years later.
Cheers !
