John's Story

I, John Dick have endeavoured to become simple, stainless and free. After elementary I went on a wild ride of self-assertion and refined my artistic abilities and have been constructing portfolios of poetry and paintings that I am not quite ready to show the world. Academically I have stumbled and have given up wordly pursuits for money and success because I realize a greater truth... society has built a wall around mankind that keeps us from achieving true happiness in our lives. Since people are intrested in the analitical details of one's life time, here goes with the info: I have completed my goals with school, have overcome many hardships including my open-heart surgery that took place in Edmoton in April of 1997. I am now kept alive by a heart valve and pacemaker. I recovered in a year and then moved in December 1999 to B.C. where I moved from place to place with my family before settling alone. For three years I researched philosophy and religon in an attempt to reclaim my spiritually in this world. To be fair I have enjoyed my life with regards to entertainment, for instance, when the "Spider-Man"movie was released on opening day I was so determined to see the film that I wrote a letter to the manager of Famous...Expand for more
Players that I would work for them to compensate for the price of admission. Although they phoned and stated they couldn't hire me, they gave me a free pass to see the film! I have owned most of the major video game systems and have played PS3 and Nintendo Wii. I frequent the movie theatre and have seen all of the Marvel films, including The Simpsons and Transformers. I have plans to pursue a career in video game design, get my poetry published and if I have time-which I do- to take acting and drama coarses offered at the CNC college. Currently I am moving through a rough stage in life... I wish I had taken more time with my teachers and friends from the past... such as Craig Moston, Nathan Macintosh, Travis Dickie, Derrick Pemberton and Cameron Sivel. I really miss Ms. Natalie Myers, Mrs. Betty Spooner, Ms. Watson, Mrs. Love, Sue Woods, Hauk Jones and Mr. Elingson my ONLY gym teacher, ever. I know many of them are probably more successful than myself, as this story is far from 'inspirational' but I am still happy with my life as I have retained a wealth of knowledge and wisdom from my experiences with the instinctual dynamics that drives the human spirit to accomplish profound achievements in this world.
