Life I married about a year and three months after graduation. I first met my wife of 39 plus years, Martha, during a hayride for our church youth group. About a year after this first meeting she began to come to our church and after dating for about 90 days were were married! I know that isn't how it is suppose to be done, nor would I recommend it but by God's grace it has worked these many years. After working in a valley I went back to school at Concordia Lutheran College (now University) in Austin, Texas in 1980. Graduated from there in 1983 with a BA and went to Concordia Seminary in St. Louis Missouri. Served my internship at Concordia Lutheran Church in Maplewood Mo. and graduated from the Sem in 1987. Served my first parish at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Rockwall, Texas and after 6 1/2 years I accepted the call to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Midwest City, Oklahoma beginning on November 28, 1993. I stay there til 2003 when I resigned due to alligators which were making my life and the life of my wife miserable. It was during this time we began to notice a memory problem with Martha when it came to short term memory. She has been diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Disorder which may be a forrunner of Alshemiers but hasn't been fully diagnosed with this as of yet.
