John's Story
Life
I am a Registered Nurse (R.N.), specialized in general Pediatric Nursing, as well as Pediatric Intensive Care/Critical Care nursing. I graduated from Ann May School of Nursing/Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey, where I received my R.N. diploma. I am also a graduate of Felician College in Lodi, New Jersey, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). I also hold my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Phoenix (Phoenix, Arizona). I am a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, and keep busy in my professional roles with the New Jersey State Nurses Association, having served as the President for Bergen & Hudson Counties region ...Expand for more
(2005-2007). I have worked as a Staff Nurse, Nurse Manager, and as an Assistant Director of Nursing, and I am now working in Nursing Education. I was diagnosed with cancer in 1996, and I am currently in remission. In my spare time, I do public speaking for the American Cancer Society, speaking on surviving cancer and the importance of early detection. I am single, and live in Hackensack, New Jersey. As in high school, I continue with my love of photography, and I am rarely without my cameras (both 35mm and my digital SLR) by my side, and I do wedding photography. When not in New Jersey, I love vacationing on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, especially the Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head areas.
