John's Story
Life
I was quiet in High School, so I don't think any of you would remember me unless you also attended Booker T. and remember me as John Witherspoon (it's a long story). I don't get back to Baltimore much, maybe once a year. I've out grown it. Since graduating, I joined the Marine Corps. And then the Navy. I've been places, seen things, and met people who have made my life that much more fuller. And after 20 years, I look forward to beginning the second half of my life in 2003. I've enjoyed the ride so far and pray that you all are...Expand for more
getting as much out of life as it has to offer. For all the good and bad, it was fun. Thank you.
Fast forward, 2006. I retired in 2003, moved back to Maryland (but not Baltimore and too damn close to Washington D.C.) and got a job as Budget Analyst at Andrews AFB, MD. Love the job because it wasn't too far removed from what I did in the NAVY. About a year and a half later, I took the position as Asst. Security Manager. Love the job and the people but the Reservist are a challenge sometimes. Long story and it keeps getting better.
