John's Story
Life
After graduating from Saint Mary's I moved to Japan on July 4th of 1985 where I lived with my parents for the next year.
After battling with my parents (mother) for more freedom, I moved back to NY for a couple/few years only to pick up and move to Silicon Valley near San Francisco, CA.
I moved up the ladder of success in the high tech industry (getting by on my cheerful disposition in place of a college education) and finally made the jump to Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) where I survived as a Technical Marketing Supervisor before I burned out and quite.
I took some time off to gather myself and work on projects which enriched my life and made me happy.
Finding that I still had too much time on my hands I started working part time at the Gap's flagship store in the heart ...Expand for more
of Union Square (San Francisco) where I worked my way to full time and the Supervisor level - where I spent 4 years of my life.
As I write this, I just completed my last day at the Gap and am preparing to move to a new Taiwanese startup called, Hannspree, where they sell televisions, not any televisions, ones with themes like, Fantasy, Sports and Style. ;) Check out there website for more details.
Hannspree hired me for my technical, marketing and sales experience (at least that's what I want to believe) and will be a supervisor at their flagship store - also in Union Square. It is their 2nd store in the US, the first being one in Beverly Hills.
