HOWDY!!!
Updated 2007NOV:
Hum, where to begin... I am Havin' a Cowboy Kinda Day.
I moved to Lake Tahoe in 1982. I went back to college and I graduated from Lake Tahoe Community College in 1993. I became involved in student government while I attended school. I became a student trustee and eventually I became the student body president. I graduated with a Rotary scholarship and I received some terrific awards and was also chosen to be the graduating speaker. Being involved in my education in those years were the most fulfilling thing I had even done. I will always be grateful to Lake Tahoe Community College.
During the last month of college my father passed away very sudden. It was very traumatic for me and my family. However, since I had won the Rotary scholarship I felt it was my obligation to continue with my previous plans of attending a 4 year university. I lived in NV and I started...Expand for more
at the University of Nevada at Reno. I did not attend for more than 1 semester because it was difficult to focus on my studies because of what my family was going thru.
From about 1994 to 2002 I lived in several cities in the states of California & Nevada and I even lived in Arizona for a wiz of a bit. I left NV in 2002 and boomeranged back to CA but while in NV I became a large fan of the Old West and the westward journey from the Midwest out to California, Nevada & Oregon. I worked in western wear retail for many years in Reno, NV and attended many western style functions, including Rodeo, Cowboy Poetry events, Cowboy Campfires and the like.
2002 I found myself working for a large design company which is owned by a larger home improvement big box retailer, as things turn out, I now work inside the larger big box. It pays the bills but I would like to go part-time and go back to school and get a degree in American History. I enjoy most anything that involves a western influence. The Old American West is extremely fascinating to me and I read about it whenever I am able.
I reckon I better giddy-up now. Y'all have a cowboy kinda day and I am lookin' forward to seein y'all soon.
