John's Story
After CHS I went to UNH and received a BA in History, and also thru AFROTC became a 2nd Lt. in the USAF. I spent 4 years at George AFB, Victorville, Ca as a transportation officer. I married Patricia Grace(UNH/Deerfield) in 1973 and we had our son, James, in 1974. We moved to Tempe, Az in 1976 , where I studied for an MPA degree(which I never received) at ASU. My wife separated from me and came back to NH with our son. I stayed a couple more years and then decided to head back to NH myself. After our divorce, I met another lady, Mary Shampney of Andover. We eventually married and I became a step-dad to 2 girls and a boy. I started working at Capitol Plumbing & Heating Supply Co. in Concord(now, The Granite Group), where I worked in many capacities for 21 years. ns, but eventually worked as a groundskeeper at Baker Hill Golf Club in Newbury, where I broke my ankle, went on Workman's Comp. for the summer, and met my former partner, Dot Cohen, of Salisbury, Ma(where I moved in 2002). I have a condo within site of Salisbury Beach. I work as a Rural Carrier for the USPS in Durham. NH. In 2014, I married my present wife, Barbara Marshall (Mills) who went to Concord HS and UNH with me. I have two grandchildren(Patrick and Hannah), and three new adult daughters.
Passing of Classmate Steve.Semales:
Sad news another classmate has passed
Steve Semales Not sure if it was diabetes complications. Very sad. He suffered from depression and he was estranged fr his family. They dont really know what happened and not knowing what to do
Please pray for them. He needs to be honored as a veteran and most of his life working in naval hospitals. RIP steve
