John's Story
I entered the Army right after HS graduation in 1958. Served 20 years Active Duty in Personnel, with 3 tours in Germany (almost 10 years)and 1 tour in Vietnam(1968-1969). Returned to the States from Germany in 1974, with assignment to Ft Hood, Texas. Upon retirement from Active Duty, I worked for Army Civil Service as a Budget Analyst until the end of 2000, at which time I thought I retire...Expand for more
d for good. Since retiring, it seems I'm more scheduled than ever. Now I am the Finance Officer(elected position), American Legion 223 in Killeen, TX.
My first wife was from Germany and we had 2 children, Sharon (1967) and David (1969), and no Grandchildren. My second wife was born in Missouri and we had 1 child, Kevin (1984). My present wife was born in Bloomington, MN, and no children.
