John's Story
Life
After leaving school, I worked as an engineer, and eventually as Director of marketing in the high tech electronics industry. For 20 years I have been a consultant for business development and market development.
In1963 I became involved in the U.S.Jaycees. I served as a local officer, state and national officer and was honored with a Senate membership. In 1974 I was elected to our City Council and served two terms as a councilmen and Mayor. I have continued to serve on various public sector boards and commissions. for a new challange. In 2006, I found that challange, I became a member of the Los angeles County Civil Grand JURY. There were 23 of us representing twelve million in the County of Los Angeles. We serve for one year. In 2008 I joined the Los Angeles Chapter oof the Civil Grand Jury Association. There is still work to be done.
I am currerntly the Water Commission chair in Glendora. Water is a hot subject as of now.
I passed my General class exame for my amature radio license (KI6NPV) and will start talking to people world wide! Got to stay busy!!! I celebrated my 76 birthday in April 28th.I ennjoy eploring the Loa Angeles area using the light railsystem. A daily pass will permit me to cover a lot of new places.
