John's Story
Life
I have one adorable daughter almost 7 years old, who is creative, off the wall, bouncy, rockin-rolling and bluesy at times, with a touch of sarcasm and biting wit. I try to be a good friend to her and teach her about the world she lives in, as well as the older one I came from. Alas, time ticks so much faster with a child in development (the other day I nearly aged 5 years in 2 seconds when she hid from me in the hatchback area behind my car's back seat!).
I have a job which is nothing special, but for the fact that its low risk and leaves me with a lot of independent time. I have stayed in the Boston area (Natick for the past 12 years), except for a graduate degree in Education from U.Penn (M.Ed 90). I can't believe t...Expand for more
hat my high school years are over 20 years ago, especially when I think of all the risky and foolish things I did there...are they really supposed to be the good old days? As the song goes, "I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now!"
If only that were true....b/c friends of mine are passing away, still too early in life to be of "natural causes". I wonder what's become of our teachers, the ones I liked, anyway!
I still love music, and as I age, I find the hairs on the back of my head, however receded, are rushing up to classics and ballads, though I still like the eternal adolescent psychedelic-metal muddle (I love my iPod, but where can anyone sell their LPs bought from Nuggets in the 80's!?!!?).
