John's Story
Life
Now living for the last 23 years in Arlington, Va (Washington D.C. suburb). BA from American University in 1985 (History major of course) and George Mason Law School in 1988. Trial lawyer for the last 20 years and in May 2000 started my own law firm (Hartel, Kane, DeSantis, MacDonald & Howie, LLP) with 18 lawyers in Beltsville, Md. (also a DC suburb). Married the last fifteen years to Gina from Kansas. She's an economist and carries on the Hartel tradition by biking to work in Georgetown. ly. Gina took off some time from work but then went back into biking until she became pregnant with our third daughter. Olivia was born on April 12, 2006. I used to be into triathlons and marathons until the children came along. I've done "Escape from Alcatraz" triathlon in San Francisco twice. I still do the local Marine Corps Marathon yearly (although alot slower than I used to!)Now I am busy trying to keep up with three young daughters. I try to get back to Marietta often to see my mom. Haven't missed a reunion yet. I hope to see you all there for the next one.
