John's Story
Life
HI!! My warmest greetings to all my old friends!! Here's 25 years in a paragraph! After high school graduation, I started school at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. I graduated in 1979 with a BS.in Astrophysics. By my Junior year I realized I hated staying up all night (looking at stars) and changed my career focus to Geophysics.
In the early 80's I started my career as a Geophysicist in Oil Exploration based in Denver, CO.I used to work with George W's younger brother Neil Bush part of that time.(my only claim to fame!)
My job has taken me all around the World to some of the remotest areas; all over South America, North...Expand for more
Africa, The Middle East, SE Asia, Japan and the Arctic.
I met my wife Carmen, in Denver. We were married in 1986 in Houston.
We have 4 children; Estella, Celeste, Cynthia, and Mark. We also have a big lovable Bernese Mountain dog named Teddy.
We lived in Denver until 1990. From 1990-1996 we lived in Nerja, Spain. From 1997 - 2002 we lived in Houston, TX where I worked for Exxon (later to become ExxonMobil). After commuting for over a year to Malaysia in 2001-2002, we lived in Melbourne, Australia from 2003-2005.
We are now back in Texas. I currently work as a Sr. Exploration Geophysicist for ExxonMobil Exploration in Houston.
