Life

After leaving Central, I worked in radio broadcasting full time until 1993. I went back to college (East Texas State), and graduated in 1995. I have been working as a computer programmer since graduation, now working in Voice Response (VRU and IVR) technology. I married in 1983, and Pam and I have an 18 year old son. I am a member of the Richardson East Rotary Club (since 1999), and the Dallas Symphony Chorus (since 2000). I was able to go to Europe in 2002 with the Chorus on our 25th anniversary tour. ed in Germany, Prague, Vienna, and Budapest. I still do radio sportscasting part-time, and have been doing high school football play-by-play on the internet (and radio) since Fall, 2000. I've been fortunate enough to broadcast the 2002 Class 4A State Champion Denton Ryan Raiders. I worked with TSN (The Texas State Network) in 2003 and 2004 on their statewide broadcasts of high school playoff football, and in 2004, I am currently the voice of the 2004 Class 4A State Champion Ennis Lions. I've also been broadcasting Austin College sports since 2000 on my website archercom.net (unfortunately, that contract expired this year, so my Saturday's are now free, much to my chagrin).
