John's Story
Hi everyone life has been good . After grading in 74-75 from Niagara District i worked at a couple of farms around Niagara,but the call to go west was to strong to stay. I moved to Jasper Alberta in March of 1979 to work at Jasper Park Lodge as a Gardener. This is where i met my wife to be. We moved to Victoria BC in July 1982 and i started to work at the world famous Butchart Gardens as a gardener. I am now the supervisor of the rose and Italian gardens there, still loving my job. ater still happily married. We have just 1 daughter born in 1990 now grown but still living with us. We are just starting to plan to build our dream log home and hope to have it built sometime this year Still a few years to go till retirement but i love to go fishing and golf now and then. Update on building a log home,We bought a log home moved in June 23 2017 about 5 miles from where we were going to build. So now we have our dream home and we are very happy with it Life is good. An update as of September 1 2021 I am now retired and enjoying it
