John's Story
Life
I've been living in Missouri since 1991 following a career. So, I guess that after this long, I'm officially a Missourian. I've lost my winter-time desire to ice-fish or shovel sidewalks every morning. There are some advantages to living farther south.
I married late in life so I have small, and wonderful children, who live with me part-time. On one hand, I wish that I would have started a family earlier in life but I also enjoy being more mature, grou...Expand for more
nded, and patient as an older dad.
My past jobs have delivered me into a handful of cultures around the world and gave me friends in every time-zone. I made a mid-life career change which has been a bit of a challenge. But, a smooth and easy life wouldn't be as interesting.
I miss some of my old friends from my home town, but I think that most of us moved away after graduation. Times were tough back then and opportunities were everywhere else in the world.
