John's Story
Still here in AZ. We moved shortly out of state years ago but really missed it here. Son and Daughter are late 40's now. Son gave us two grandson's finally. Wow, where did all those years go! Daughter still searching for the right guy.
Still enjoy outdoors, hunting, shooting and camping. I watch sports now instead of playing...getting real good at it too. Finally got our final downsizing completed and moved to Asante Heritage 55+. Been working on bucket list visiting the world...England, Scotland, Ireland, Belize, Honduras, Venezuela, China, Canada, Cuba, Dominican Republic all through the Caribbean islands. I am thinking once I finally push off from work we will do an extended trip across Europe and around Mediterranean. Japan is on the list now that I know I am 51% Japanese... wow big surprise after DNA test.
Left the Architectural firm after 36 years as one of the senior founding partners. Was going to fully retire but keeping the income stream open while...Expand for more
I can travel seemed best. Continue working from home office with several satellite employees. Making more plus no more 60 hour work weeks. Less stress and more free time. I likely will continue this for at least 5-7 years as long as economy allows. I honestly do not know what else I would do to keep busy. Got to work on that cause time is almost up. Wife has also done the same extending multiple times past her retirement with school district. She plans to walk from it end of 2024-25 school year.
Still married to same gal for 47 years. Must have done something right to have this beautiful woman stick with me. Traveling more in an Super C RV across the usa and loving it. We will begin spending summers away next in the RV. Amazing to think I made it to medicare+soc security age. Hoping our health holds out to enjoy the backside of this life together.
Wishing maybe the graduating class will gather once more at some point while most of us are on this side of dirt.
