John (Jack)'s Story
Life
I am living in Idaho, married with two daughters and two dogs! I retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2007 after 22.5 years as a Senior Master Sergeant (E-8). Afterwards, I worked briefly for the State of Idaho, Health and Welfare Department. I started a civilian federal career in July 07 working for The Department of Veterans Affairs in Boise and serving those who served our great country! I changed jobs again in April of 2010 leaving the VA for the U.S. Department of the Interior here in Boise as a GS-12 working in Aviation Management as a Contracting Officer. I then came back to the Department of Veterans Affairs again in 2012 and is where I am working now. I became a born again Christian in 1998 and my faith in the Good Lord above is very important to me and we attend Calvary Chapel in Boise. Before moving to Idaho, my military duty locations included Texas, Colorado, Michigan, Nebraska and 5 years in Germany! During my military years in Europe I traveled all over Germany to include Berlin and saw the fall of the Berlin Wall. Made it to Liechtenstein, Austria...Expand for more
, Switzerland, Paris France, Denmark, Sweden, Luxembourg, Belgium, Amsterdam Holland, allover England to include London, Rome, Pisa and Florence Italy, Scotland and Barcelona Spain. I was later stationed in Nebraska where I met and married my lovely Midwestern wife from Omaha Nebraska. I graduated college in 96 and got my Masters Degree in 98 in Nebraska. I was later stationed in Idaho in 99 and never left. I love Idaho and I live in a small farming town outside Boise. We built our new dream house and moved into it in March 08. I really enjoy the fishing and hunting here. My favorite hunting and fishing spots are less than one hour from my driveway! I Love the 4 seasons here and the very family centered values here in Idaho. We have a RV so the family and I are getting out and camping as well! Also a die hard Boise State Football Fan! Been a season ticket holder for years watching my Broncos on the famous Blue Turf. Would love to hear from anyone I knew from Santa Fe High, Lakeside Jr High or Studebaker Elementary.
