First meet Mary Ellen Horan in Feb. 1970 during St. James production of South Pacific. Strike out. Remain friends.
1971 Graduate from STJ and do 3 semesters at Cheyney State University, Cheyney, PA.
1973 move from Eddystone to Baltimore, MD to take up residence with the Marianist Brothers.
1974 - Meet Janet Oleksik and that ends the Catholic celebate thing!

18 June 2008 my bride and soul-mate Janet Krumm ripped from me by cancer. Janet returns to God peacefully from our home in Dover, NH. I was honored to be at her side as she smiled and went to her reward.
Christmas Season, 2009, I had the opportunity to renew that friendship with Mary Ellen Horan, who I first met and was smitten with at Saint James in 1970. STJ Bulldogs of my era will remember her as "LIAT" in our production of South Pacific. After 40 years of being totally out of touch, we make contact through classmates.com. July 2010, after about 6 months ... I propose marriage to Mary Ellen Horan and she accepts, at Boordy Vineyards, MD
All plans come together at a wonderful celebration of family and friends for Mary Ellen and myself at Towson, Maryland as we were married at Immaculate Conception Parish, Towson. The mass was the most important aspect of my Marriage day, and it was spectacular.
2011, July 27th, Move from Dover, NH to Milton NH to "Journey's End Horse Farm". I take up residence there with Mary Ellen, Joe, and Mary Ellen's mom Eileen.
Spring 2018, I make plans to retire and move back to DELCO with my family.
1 June 2018 I retire after 39.5 years serving the US Government.
From January to June 2018 we plan and execute our move from Milton, NH back to Aston, PA where we reside now. I am happily retired, well provided for by the retirement plans I signed up for, and now basking in the reward of Grandsons.
My life has been a challenging, trying, happy and sad, joyful and crushing, victorious as well as humbling, loving and spectacular ride so far. It far supersedes any idea I had of what life could be like, as I was being brought up by my good parents Bernard (Barney) and Ruth Marie in Eddystone, PA. I thank God every day for my parents and the core they gave me to go into - and address - this world with.
Because of God's RICH kindness, I now have secured with God's help and assistance a second chance to experience profound love on this side of the veil of tears, my Lord and Our Lady have kindly led me to another. We are on the way to being soul mates also. Now, restoration and new opportunities exist for Mary Ellen and myself in this marriage.
My first wife is a Saint. Mary Ellen has committed to get me into Heaven also. And I commit the same to her.
We were both blessed to have met each other again, and to have kept our eyes open to build upon the friendship we started over 40 years ago. With our marriage complete and our family now residing in Aston, PA... I am focused and intent to live as many years as possible with her - my daughter's family who lives within 1 mile of us, as happily as I can make them all for the duration of the time God will provide me.
God, and love have found a way.
