John's Story
Life
I can't believe that almost 30 years have passed since our Riverdale graduation! I'm writing this in July of 2007. After Riverdale I went to Vanier, then got an Engineering degree from McGill University. After that I went to Stanford to get a Master's degree and spent my entire career so far in the Silicon Valley of California creating the technology that drives software.
I've did work for Symantec (Norton Computing), Xerox, KLA/Tencor, Frame and Adobe. In 1998 I founded VeriPic and I am currently it's CEO. At VeriPic we proudly create software products that help defend the country help police forces keep the streets safe. I currently give speeches at about 4 to 6 law enforcement conferences per year and I also occasionally lecture at the NTSB Academy (you can Google my name and NTSB to get my bio there). 3 issued patents in my name and have 4 pending patents under way. I currently am on the board of directors of the Stanford Bay Area Charities (a Stanford University Alumni charity non-profit that holds about 8 charity benefit events per year) and I was it's president for the 1999 - 2000 term. I've been living in California since 1984 and am married to my wife, Kellie, who is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio not far from Columbus Ohio where both of my parrents went to college at Ohio State University and were also married there.
Since moving to California I have managed to catch up with many classmates from Riverdale who also moved to the here.
