John's Story
I consider myself open minded and enjoy a wide variety of activities. I am a well-educated yet eternally underemployed reserved gentleman who has lived most of his life in the Rocky Mountain West and High Plains with a wide variety of interests. I reside in the Denver metro area once again after having lived for a couple of years in Cheyenne and Colorado Springs. Prior to my nearly 3 years in WY, I lived for about 10 years in the Denver metropolitan area. In addition to Wyoming & Colorado, I also have lived in NY, SC, NM, AZ, NV, & MT.
I am the oldest of six siblings: a brother and his family newly relocated to the Greensboro NC metropolitan region; a sister and her family in the northwest Houston metro area; a brother and his family in Castle Rock, CO; and two sisters and their families still in the Albuquerque area, where I spent my high school years at Eldorado HS in what was then far northeast Albuquerque in the mid 1970s, graduating as part of the Bicentennial Class. I also attended Del Norte HS minimally part-time as a member of that school's AFJROTC program. .While in school I worked part-time during my junior year at the Mr. Swiss at Morris and Candelaria, and during my senior year at the Royal Fork Buffet on Eubank between Constitution and Indian School roads (both businesses are long gone). My parents are deceased and I have never married or been a parent.
I have earned college degrees at three institutions of higher learning with four degrees, but still consider myself still learning and trying to figure out much about this world and its life, past, land, and people.
I am always seeking better and improved professional employment with an organization in either the public or private sector where I can make a strong lasting contribution to the organization's financial success, market position, customer and client relations, and the standing and reputation of the organization in the minds of the consumer, in the community, and society.
I have many broad experiences in my employment career but primarily I have listened to individuals and people who became our organization's customers and clients. I found solutions and answers for them and made them loyal and dedicated customers and clients to the organization I was representing and myself.
My education is in the social sciences disciplines and in education. I enjoy speaking with people and taking the opportunity to educate, inform, and discuss with them about products, services, ideas, and a wide range of varied interesting subject matter.
I like to lead in an organization with a resourceful, purpose driven team and staff that only adds to this basic foundation of overall excellence and always results in success, growth, and advancement fo...Expand for more
r the individuals with me and for the organization I am with. I am excellent at multi-tasking and thrive in an environment with lots of daily new challenges. I am greatly proficient in using computer based software for a number of business applications, including inventory, personnel, payroll, and product ordering and transfers.
My skill set is strong and includes professional and personal communication skills; expert analytical skills; superb teamwork skills; effective technical skills; and a long marked history of a consistent and dedicated successful work ethic.
I greatly look forward to discussing myself and my backgrounds with those who would consider having me join their organization and team. I very much enjoy being with an organization that encourages success, satisfaction, and growth in all aspects of their enterprise individually and collectively.
Thank you very much for any of your considerations.
I have a wide variety of interests - among them, spectator sports (MLB, NHL, College Football, MWC Hoops, College Hockey, Minor League Hockey and Baseball, NFL, CFL, & Horse Racing); public policy, 20th Century History, the outdoors, travel & sightseeing, and such sciences as meteorology/climatology, geology, ecology, astronomy, and theoretical/quantum physics; environmentalism, conservation, and alternative energies technologies; futurism and technology; and participatory sports (golf, boating, camping, fishing, hiking, walking).
I am somewhat free spirited, strongly opinionated about some subjects and things and hardly at all on others; and with an outre sense of humor. I strongly strive to be open minded and tolerant; I am largely socially conservative and libertarian but economically and politically progressive, socialist and freedom oriented on some matters; I enjoy a wide range of music (classic rock, country, oldies, jazz, and new age - most if not all the good music from my youth ! ); and good food, beverages, and conversation about a wide variety of topics including the news interests of the day and history... I look forward to retiring someday perhaps to the SW Oregon Coast, the Southern Nevada Desert, somewhere in Arizona, the Washington coastal corridor, or the Northern and Eastern Montana Prairie, but staying here in the Denver area is without question the best option right now and into the foreseeable future..
Looking to hear from Dave Gutierrez, Sandia HS graduate from '79; he was in accounting program at Albuquerque T-VI with me in 1980.
And being a lifelong bachelor, I always hold out hope of finding love and companionship even at this late point of my life. It would be truly amazing to have someone of the past reconnect with me and have all that and more as a possibility.
