John's Story
Workplace
After LHS and post high school education. I started my first real job at Avondale Industries as a computer technician. Worked my way upto Tech Support Mgr, then to Firewall Specialist. Left there in 2001 to work for a company at Stennis Space Cntr in Mississippi. Interesting Research and Development work, left there after about 1 1/2 years and worked for Computer Source as a technician. Later opened my own business in Lutcher doing computer sales/repair and was self-employed for 3 years. After the self-employment thing didn't work out, I have now gotten small jobs here and there while looking for my next dream job.

I was the first direct hire for RSD which also forced me to be many "interim" titles such as network engineer, server technician, and so on. This job is definately the most challenging job I've had. Things change on nearly an hour basis. This is environment requires ability to adapt quickly to change and ability to balance loads of projects at the same time.
I have added many friends to my network of people through my work career. I have had the opportunity to learn some unique concepts and ideas through the years. My working career has brought me to learning about computers, networks, computer security, telephone systems, audio/video technology, and management. I continue to look forward to the new advances in technology which will come my way during my work career.
