John's Story
UPDATE:
I have a new novel out, which takes place in Galveston in the late 60's. The Kindle version is very cheap. Just go to Amazon and type in J. B. Lifflander and that novel will come up. I'm writing this update on March 22, 2017. The novel is called The Free State of Galveston and it is a Christian book.
I was a filmmaker/screenwriter for the Texas Medical Center in Houston after graduating from the U of H with a BA in Communications. Moved to CA and worked for Stacy Keach Productions, Disney, etc. Wrote, produced and directed "The Audition" in 1984, a feature film.
Also started a real estate investment company. After making my movie, I had a experience with Jesus Christ that changed my life. I had always doubted religion, although I was not against it. My sister sent me a book entitled "The Cross and the Switchblade." I noticed in that book that the people who were born-again had a supernatural experience with Jesus. I asked Him to forgive me and He revealed Himself to me. I teach the Bible on my website - please access it for more information.

y own Covenant Consultants, Inc., and I am an expert witness for complex industrial valuation disputes . I also write novels. One is "Journey in the Great Depression," which is historical fiction for children, and another is an historical romance entitled "Disguised for Love - The Strickland Sisters. My novels are available on Amazon. I also write technical books such as "Fundamentals of Industrial Valuation," and "Analyzing Complex Appraisals" for McGraw Hill.
My wife and I have three children. Both of my sons started college at 15 years old, and my oldest son has a PhD in computer science and works for Sandia Labs. My other son is an I.T. manager for a company. My daughter is an education major and wants to be a special ed. teacher.
