Life After graduating from University High School in 1970, I had no idea what I was going to do for the coming summer, much less the rest of my life. I spent the summer of '70 at the quarries - I had no job and wasn't looking for employment. As summer ended I watched as my high school classmates went away to college or started classes at Indiana University. A few days before Labor Day 1970, my father sat me down and asked what I was planning to do in the coming year. I told him I had no plans. He said that was what he had suspected and told me that I would be starting to work the day after Labor Day at the RCA factory in town. I knew there was no reason to argue with my Dad and I started to work as a stock handler at RCA as summer ended. It took all of 1-day for me to decide that working in the factory was not for me and I told my father that I would be starting college in January. I saved most of the money I earned at RCA for college expenses and then right before the start of classes, I used my savings to fly to Europe with a high school friend, Eric Christ.
