John's Story
I always wanted to be a Marine when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
I blow off steam by cutting wood. Going for a bike ride or going for a walk.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my sister Carole Anne, because I did not get a chance to say I love her before she was murdered.
My first job was at King Kullen, where I got paid $4.00 a hour to stock shelves. What I remember most about it is the drugs I was offered and I declined everyone of them.
I learned having kids you need alot of patience and there are no guide books for direction.

I am a Marine Corps veteran who experienced death in combat. A 18 year veteran of police work with alot of death investigations involved. On 11/05/06 my sister Carole Anne was murdered and I live life to the fullest now enjoying my family and enjoying retirement.
I am very proud of my accomplishments as a Marine. I earned my combat action ribbon while surviving a artillery attack and was awarded various other medals and ribbons. As a police officer I was a jack of all trades and succesfully negotiated a suicide by cop situation where the suspects life was spared and I won the award of merit. As a college student I won the learning resource center award.
