John's Story
Life
After leaving tech it was off to college and ROTC for the Air Force .by luck and the grace of some nice college profs we managed to get through electrical engineering.Next came the Air force and flight school, along the way a school teacher took pity upon this brash, impetuous guy ,and became my wife .This marriage lasted 32 years until her passing .There were two children ,both grown and married now {see there is a GOD after all}. After the Air force my career took many paths and eventually I made it to the corner office of a fortune 500 size company,until I retired in 1998 ,and moved to Las Vegas...Expand for more
.Today I do venture capital, a lot of charity work and mostly try to stay on top of the business world.
Out of our class at Hooker, so far we have a Doctor, a lawyer a priest and a CEO and who says public schools can't teach .I'm sure as we find other classmates they will have had a very rewarding 40 to 50 years also .
My only hope is that we can entice other students from Hooker and Harding and Tech to share their lives a little and maybe talk about Beardsley Park ,the Briarwood, our first dance and some of the teachers who helped shape us into what we are today.
