John's Story
Life
Living a comfortable life in Colorado Springs with my wife Bonnie of 31 years. We have 3 daughters-Lauren, Kirsten and Allison. I make my living as a hands-on IT Manager.
We moved out here back in 1990, but unfortunately I've lost touch with pretty much everybody from Virginia and am hoping that classmates may help me hook up with people there again. I would love to hear about any upcoming reunions etc, as I missed the 10th and was never contacted for the 20th.
College
After Edison, I went to JMU and graduated in 1984 with a BS in Communication Arts (Broadcast) and Political Science. While at JMU, I hung out some with some other Edison alum namely Eddie Rogers, Kevin Gallagher, David Bell and Scott Lewis. JMU is also where I first started dating Bonnie. We had met while working at W. Bell & Co in Springfield Mall and she transferred down from GMU prior to my senior year. We became best friends and started dating that Christmas.
Workplace

a pretty varied work experience. Back in high school, I used to work at swimming pools (including MeadowView) and at W. Bell & Co in Springfield Mall. I worked there from the time it opened up to graduation from college in '84. I'd work there on weekends when home from school as well as in the summer.
After college, I went work for Myer-Emco selling high-end stereo gear for a while. From there, I became the Membership Director of trade organization, and then landed a job with TGS Technology at the USGS in Reston as an AV/Computer Specialist and worked there until we left for CO in 1990.
After arriving in Colorado Springs, I continued to work with computers in some form or another and have worked at several companies as either Operations Manager or MIS/IT Manager. I rode the "dot com" bubble for a while and kept moving up to greener pastures every few years. In 2000 I landed the job as IT Manager at EDSS (now ENS/Ingenix) and have been there ever since.
