John's Story
Life
After graduating from Milo high School in 1967, I attended the University of Maine, Orono from September 1967 to May 1972, graduating with a BS in Chemical Engineering.
I was married on January 29, 1972 to Margaret (Peggy) Howard from Orrington, Maine.
In June, 1972 through October 1973 we lived in Alexandria, Virginia and I worked for US Patent Office in Crystal City (loved the historical and cultural opportunities).
In October 1973, California sunshine called and we quit our jobs and headed west ending up in Sacramento, California. I attended law school at night at McGeorge School of Law (University of the Pacific) and graduated with a JD in 1978. We lived in apartments in south area and Rancho Cordova until we bought our first home on Saffron Way in Citrus Heights in 1976. I worked full time for Aerojet General from 1974 through 1980. Peggy worked in outside sales.
Our son (only child) John Howard (Josh) was born on January 13, 1980.

Boston. Hated it and we left for California again in July 1981 and I started working for State of California at Water Resources Control Board, moving to Dept. of Health Services in 1982, where I stayed until May 1986.
We bought a home in Roseville in May 1983, where we still live today.
In June 1986, I joined Intel Corporation and worked there as a Senior Environmental Attorney until I retired on June 3, 2002. Peggy worked in outside sales until "retiring" in 1992.
We are enjoying our retirement at a condo we own with friends in Princeville, Kauai, Hawaii. We also spend a few months every year at a condo we own in Cabo san Lucas, Mexico.
We look forward to our annual visits to Maine. We bought a home in Old Town in April 2004 on College Ave (close to University). I am sad that I have not been able to attend more Milo High School class reunions (have only been to one, 25th).
My Dad, Jack, died in Nov. 1990 and my Mom, Eoline, died in Dec. 2006.
Our son graduated from the Univ. of Maine in May 2007.
