John's Story
I've been a professor of piano in the USA since 1965 at Concordia College MN , Western Washington University , WA
and the Olson Professor of Piano at UMKC in Kansas City ; also touring as a pianist in China , Russia , Canada, Europe
and the USA. I'm so disappointed to see the demise of Devine Street School on recent visits to Sarnia . I have so
many fond memories of the school and conducting the rhythm b...Expand for more

I attended Devine Street School from 1943 until 1949 ( grade 6 ) then transferred to Hannah Memorial School until
grade 8 and then moved to Toronto. ( I didn't graduate from Devine St. in 1945 but have not been able to correct the
"Class of 1945 " entry above ) Anyone interested in my bio can find it online in the Canadian Encyclopedia of Music .
