John's Story
Life
I moved to the Los Angeles area in '84. I met my first wife here and was married in '87. I have 2 sons, Michael and Johnny, born in '88 and '91 respectively. We moved back to Michigan in '91 until '94 and we promptly divorced. Moved back to LA (all of us) and I have 50% custody of my kids. Met my current wife, Teri, and was married in '98. Now I have twin stepdaughters the same age as my oldest son. We moved to Temecula (wine country - yeah!) near San Diego. I currently do consulting work for LPL Financial in SD (La Jolla area). We built our house last year and love it - 2.5 acres looking at the city lights of Temecula Valley. My wife...Expand for more
has a horse and 2 miniature goats. I have two dogs, a husky that is 12 and a lab mix that is 6. Hmmm, what else - the 3 oldest kids are applying to various colleges in California and I am ready to retire - wait - I still have at least 15 years until I can do that.... College
Never graduated college but I guess I'm pretty lucky. I have so many years of experience that I really don't need a degree now. It was rough when I started out though.
Workplace
I have been a software developer on a contract basis since '84. Mainly designing databases and systems that work with them.
