I spent 4 of the 8 years after 1972 in 2 different universities, and the other 4 working and living in places like Jasper and Vancouver. In 1980 I returned to Thunder Bay after 15 years away, to work in an old-time family department store which was founded by my Great Grandfather in 1896. That business was later closed, and I joined Canada Post as a Letter Carrier until the present. It's hard to complain about getting paid to get a tan, stay fit, and go home early every day. Single for most of my life, I traveled to Europe, Asia and much of North America. During the 80's my passions were skiing alpine and X-C with the Canadian Ski Patrol, and whitewater canoeing and tripping, at which I became a certified instructor.
