John's Story

After living at home after Stepinac HS and Fordham College of Pharmacy, I left Mam'k for the Air Force in Feb, 1968 and was stationed at Langley AFB and worked as a medic in the base pharmacy for the next 4 yrs. Met my 1st wife there, had a beautiful daughter, Missy, in 1970. Moved to St. Paul in 1972 to finish college. Divorced in 1974 and finished college at the Univ of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy in 1975. Bought and renovated an old farmhouse outside of Red Wing, MN while working for the Mayo Clinic. o children this time and moved to Arizona in 1984. Worked for the local hospital in Sierra Vista and then a chain pharmacy over the 1st 11yrs here.Divorced a second time in 1994. Bought the only pharmacy in historic Tombstone, AZ in 1995 and opened a 2nd pharmacy in Sierra Vista in May, 2009. Sold both pharmacies in Aug 2012 and retired as planned. Not as planned, I underwent bi-lateral lung transplant surgery in June 2013. Am doing well at 6 months and am planning a short Caribbean music cruise right after my birthday in January '14.
