Dear Friends, This is another"mini" painting 9"X 12" done this morning. A bit different than the last, but still trying to create a mood. Fondly, Johnny O
Dear Friends,
This is a very small (8"X 10") canvas done in what I call the "atmospheric style." It has one of my favorite colors in the dark blue called Indigo. It is such a rich blue. Anyway, I did this in under a half ho
Dear Friends,
I reverted to the Sea and Sky on this one. It is small (only 11"X 14".) I made it very fast as these are done as second nature now. Still I enjoy making them. Fondly, Johnny O

Third reworking on this same canvas. I think I finally got something I liked going. Johnny O
Surgery on Thursday to fix my nose. This is my last painting for a while. I got extra colorful on this one. Johnny O
More somber tones in this one fit my mood this week. Johnny O
I decided to paint over my last painting of a Northern Sunrise and this is the result. I like the atmospheric feeling of this one better.
My newest painting. I'm calling it "Northern Sunrise." It is in oil, 24" x 30."

This mornings's painting. I am thinking of what would happen if things went vertical instead of horizontal, monochromatic instead of color. Stay tuned to see if I go in those directions. Fondly, Johnny O

Sometimes when I have no new canvas to work on, I rework a painting from the past. This one, I have reworked twice. I think I finally have it the way I like it. Johnny O
Just finished this painting 24"x 30." For today, we'll consider it a view off the coast of Ireland. LOL!
New Painting ..... I'm calling this Neo-Cubist (16"X 20") work, "Electronic Cubism" because it reminds me of printed circuit boards in electronics. Although unintentional, the central red figure seems to be a ode to pac-man
Latest Painting .... This one seems to have channeled both an American Indian Spirit and that of an embryo. Johnny O
One of my more obvious failures. I had the intent of commenting on the condition of evil in the world being "Perennial Hate." I wanted to say something important, al la "Guernica." Alas, what I got was a red turnip with st
Dear Friends,
Another exploration of the world of abstract shapes. Of course I have to fit my sky in there somewhere. It is hard to draw straight lines and circles with the paint brush. So I did not get those as perfect
This is my new painting. I think Esther Williams would have liked it. 24"X30" in oil. Johnny O
