John's Story
After graduation I joined the Navy and got shipped to ( you guessed it )Vietnam. I saw combat, survived two tours and ended up staying in the Navy for 11 years ). Been married twice. The second time to my high school sweetheart Suzie ( she went to Towson High ).We lived in San Diego until I left the service and moved to the Daytona Beach area of FL., where I worked and finally retired from the US Postal Service after 34 years. was a kid in Parkville, but I do miss being the first person outside after it had just snowed...I remember it being very peaceful, quiet and serene. I particularly miss all the friends I still stay in touch with. Whenever I get back to Parkville I really enjoy a "cheese steak" sub at Maria's on Taylor Ave., and of course crabs. Dale Cassidy ( Chamberlain ) still makes the best crabcakes I've ever eaten. Only one thing left to say......GO KNIGHTS!! Wherever you are!
