Went to Naglee Burke School(1st Grade),New Jerusalem then 8th grade at Jefferson. Went to Tracy High until I enlisted in the Navy in Jan of 1945.Acheved the rank of ET 2/C.After the Navy worked at odd jobs finding myself & went to school in San Francisco for a while. Moved to Sacramento to work for the Sacramento Army Depot in 1948. I started doing final test & alignment of Fire Control Radar Systems & when the Korean War started was a Production Line Supervisor for overhaul of various comm systems.In 1948 I met the woman who would become my wife in 1949. We had just started our family when the Korean War broke out. By the time the Armistice was signed we already had 4 children. The Depot went into the Peacetime mode & I ended up in a new job in the Standards Lab where I spent the next 22 yrs. The last two as Chief. I left that job at my own request & joined a new desig group at the Depot (which was more fun). That job entailed the final design work from an original concepton transportable elctronic systems & also worked on various telephone & communications related projects. This got me around the US & also short trips to England,Germany & Korea.After I retired in 1983 I went to work for Planning Reasearch Corp. (part time)as an Electronic/Communications specialist 1985/1992. Served around the US,Korea & Japan. Have lived in Sacramento,CA since June of 1948.
