John's Story
Life
After high school I graduated from Northwestern University with a BS in Electrical Engineering (1968). Then it was on to UCLA for an MBA (1971). In 1967, while still in college, I married Ann Adelmann from Montclair, New Jersey. After graduation we moved to Los Angeles. We currently live in the Marina del Rey area.
I retired on the 5th of September 2000 from Hughes Electronics after 35 years with the same company, although in many divisions and different positions.
I am very fortunate that after 34 of marriage I am still with happily married to the same wonde...Expand for more
rful woman. We have two grown children, Stephen (27) who is an analyst in the financial industry, and Virginia (26) who graduated from law school at NYU. She works with Broebeck in San Francisco.
I am thoroughly enjoying retirement and looking forward to more leisurely travel than the corporate world would tolerate.
We love the outdoors - hiking, kayaking, skiing and beaching; we like reading and I enjoy the puzzle of genealogy and the challenge of a good racquetball game.
I'm going to learn French and how to roller blade and maybe even restart the old tennis game.
