John Peter's Story
Life in 2007
Hello Old Friends -
In case you wondering...I am still alive.
Spent most of my 20's in college and then living in the Carribean (USVI)
stints in Florida and Gatlinburg, TN followed
The last 20+ years have been in Atlanta starting up two modestly successful businesses and raising one great young kid with my polar-opposite but absolutely equal mate, Barbara Bryson Pero.(yes, she does talk funny).
Found myself back in and around baseball 15 years ago.
Now spend 300+ days a year around the game in various areas of training players and their coaches through our 9 yr old web business named BaseballTips.com and a local indoor training facility.
I split time between our Atlanta home and a loft in downtown Asheville, North Carolina where I write and publish several newsletters on related topics.
Am presently expanding my horizons through International baseball, though only as far as its planning stages.
Hope to include our son, who has a penchant for languages and has recently concluded his NCAA baseball career... his passport is rapidly filling so who knows.
I try keeping in touch with some of my more receptive old friends as the one thing that new friends ...Expand for more
can never be... is old friends.
Look me up sometime.
Life is Good

Update 10.08
Still alive...whew!
I'd forgotten that I had even written the above a few years back.
Life is still good. More of the same.
Have retied with some old buds mostly through baseball travels including David Spencer, Tim Luttrell, Paul Stomper, Maryann Scappa and Dom Valle... how's that for some names from all our pasts. Great folks with awesome stories, one and all!
Re-reading earlier post, a main change involves #1 son Joseph who graduated in 4 with honors, learned to fly, climbed the Middle Teton, had photographs published & bound, continues to log travel miles and is now employed as an instructor with Outward Bound; currently stationed in Key Largo, Fl....ok, done with the annoying dad-brag.
Update 10.09
What a gallstone of a year... but no complaints... I'm still in baseball!
One funny story - our home was used for a TV show called Drop Dead Diva and for their morning TV promos. The check cashed <g>
Recent Batavia citings include Tim Luttrell, David Spencer, Albert and Gretchen (Kiersz) Cecere, Dan Starowicz, Dom and Mary Valle, Carm (Pellegrino) & Gary Piazza, Chris Marshall.
